That\'s OK, I won\'t hold that against you...colour doesn\'t affect gas mileage. :D

Your fuel economy sounds about right.

2L or 2.3?

don\'t trust any posted gas mileage from brochures, all companies using ideal environment to test the mileage, but real life about using 10% more.

I\'m getting about the same if not less. There have been times when I\'m lucky to get 400 off a tank! I do about 70-80% highway driving, and still get really crappy mileage. I\'m probably going to take it into Mazda to get it looked at, as some people I\'ve talked iwth on this board with the same engine are getting at least 500-600km off a tank even when you add in the reserve after your empty light comes on.

How new is it? Give it time, let the engine and transmission \"break in\" a bit and leave a little room for error in your calculations.

I have a 5 speed sport GT with 27,000 km. 99% of my driving is Toronto to Oakville and back on the DVP, Gardiner and QEW. I can get 650 km from a tank of Sunoco regular.

When I first got the car, last Dec, I was only getting 500 km. I think it was because I had the defroster on all the time. When the defroster is selected the A/C runs lowering the economy.

I have been getting ~580-650km per tank. 2.3L 5spd Sport GT and I drive conservatively.
