So far the best intake I\'ve seen for our cars, but damn it\'s expensive. No need to worry about that pesky CEL with this kit.

i forget where (i think on an rx-8 board) i read that ram air is just bogus b/c to actually be able to benefit fully from ram ait you need to be travelling way faster than the car is inteded to do so (180+ kph) apart from this one being CRAZY expensive

But don\'t superchargers (more so than turbo chargers) in essence have a \"ram effect\" on the intake, and horsepower gains with superchargers are in the 50hp neighbourhood.

ok.. turbos and superchargers introduce MORE/COMPRESSED/DENSER air into the engine.. more air = more oxygen + fuel = more boooom = more HP :D

it\'s not the shoving air into the system, but it\'s shoving the compressed air (more dense) in there.. aaaaaah.. found the link (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=41295&page=1&highlight=ram+air)

From this pic it seems like we\'ll need the AutoExe kit to take advantage of it.

if you READ the thread i posted a link to.. you\'ll see that to get any performance (significant - where ram air would actually work WELL) one would have to travel at speeds well BEYOND the normal driving speeds 150kph+.. so having ram air is kinda like having that huge ass wing spoiler :D

It looks like air can flow threw the headlights...anyone got proof?

At least Espec is offering a pretty good price.

It goes for an insane $1259 from boomplustoys.

After I read the post re E-spec having it, I said to myself dammit, I shoud\'ve waited (AEM CAI sitting right in my closet right now). Then I saw the price and then I felt better again.
