Curious to see if the Mazda 6 v6 if it's possible to swapping into my first gen 3 I have the motor and everything but would I have to swap the whole front clip of the 6 onto the 3 or can I keep the front clip of the 3 with having the swap. Please help.
Thanks

Not to be rude but if you have to ask it can't be done. Motor mounts, CV Joints, Instrument cluster, ecu, abs setup, cooling system, ignition. A popular easy engine swap is the 2.5 from a Ford Fusion. Consider that route

I own a scrap yard so all of that is not an issue but never knew about the 2.5 from the fusion

Anything is possible with the right know how.

If you can get an LS1 motor into an RX8....

I hate these answers. "If you have to ask it can't be done". Stupid comment. I would place the engine in and see if it fits, I'm sure it would and then fab up some mounts. Make sure to grab the wire loom, ECU and tranny from the the V6 car. Will probably take some time to get it right, but I don't think the 3.0L V6 is all that much bigger then the 2.0/2.3/2.5 4.

But...Then why ask. If you know you can do it then just go for it. What is the worst that can happen. Besides the wallet pain.

He's probably asking to see if anyone has tried it.

I'd start by looking up measurements myself

His question is actually more valid than the guy having a problem asking where to put his transponder.....
sad part is..more people replied to the transponder thread and took it more serious....

And then make a custom exhaust manifold, modify the suspension for the weight, upgrade the fuel pump, pass emissions test, etc....If someone wants to do something new I would love to see it come to life and support with answers but if you understood the task at hand for 200whp NA v6 then I would try to recommend other options. A mazdaspeed3 turbo setup or even the 2.5 swap would be the better route.

A 2.5 swap with full bolt-ons and a new cams would net over 200 whp and be much easier then a v6 swap. But a v6 swap would be cooler.

i agree realistically anything can be done it just depends how much time and money you want to put into the car. I mean people are ls swapping any vehicle they can find.

Actually the Miata with a cummins 4bt swap was the most interesting I've seen recently
