My GT also checked on Mazda site and it says no Recall

Received this recall notice today for my 2014 Mazda6 6MT. I've already had two incidents of this failure pre-recall; one each of my rear calipers - luckily not at the same time. Both times MAP covered me for a rental, each taking about six weeks to replace. An updated caliper is not yet available, so it looks like the replacements I have may be susceptible to the same failure.

Good luck to anyone out there who is affected.

Got the pre recall notice couple days ago. Waiting for the actual notice so I can get this fixed.
Maybe this is why I had to replace my rear pads after only 60K kms!!!

My rear pads go about 60k as well before crapping out. I'm hoping this is the cause. I've even mentioned the short life span to the dealer and they don't say much other that the rear pads are thinner. I'm not buying it as the sole root cause.

As a comparision, I'm still on my original front pads at 109k km, but am on my second set of replacement (OEM) rear pads.

Anyone receive follow up on this to go into the dealer to get the issue fixed? Is it normal for it to take this long for dealer to be ready for repair after recall notice is sent out?

I'm still waiting as well. It's been 3 months since I got my notice in the mail!

Had mine done Last Tuesday. I didn't get the 2nd mail though. My dealership (Agincourt Mazda) just called me and told me to book an appointment for it.

Try calling your dealership again.

I'm getting mine done on the 26th along with the HVAC control unit replacement.

Could this be the reason why my rear brakes needed replacement at only 55,000 kms?

Went into the dealer on Saturday for the inspection. They ended up changing only the boots. Apparently some people have their calipers replaced as a part of this recall?

I did.. They said they will either reinforce it or replace it.. They end up replacing it

Same here. One needed replacement and the other didn't. The one that didn't was replace the year prior, under warranty.
