I put this in a reply in the wheels section, but thought I\'d post it here for a bit more visibility.. The clicky type torque wrench is on sale at Canadian Tire! Its $20 off, so $79.99 instead of the regular $99.99! I don\'t know how long it will last, so get it while its good. This is mainly for people who plan on doing their own winter tire changes or rotations, or other work down the road (like brakes etc). Sure you can get by with the bendy kind for $25, but this kind really is much easier to use and you don\'t have to look at the numbers while straining to pull it to exactly 85ft-lbs.
If you do still decide to use the bendy kind, I found a neat trick: change the tires at dusk when it is darkish, and put a flashlight on the ground and aim it at the torque wrench label. The needle will cast a shadow on the readout which makes it easier to see the value. With your eyes you have enough parallax that it can seem like a difference of 10ft-lbs between what the left and right eye sees.
