Leather Wrap steering wheel

i was wondering if theres any places that will do this for me. i have the gs sport, so i didnt get the leather steering wheel. i really want my wheel wrapped in leather. Nice soft leather like the mazda 3 GT. Are there any places in the hamilton- toronto area that do this.. any help is appreciated

i have abuddy who\'s fathers friend does it....but the downfall to it...he has to take off your steering wheel to wrap it..so not sure how long it takes...AND its here in kitchener/waterloo,lol

we talked bubba..thanks for that info. im going to look as well for a specialty shop around here.there has to be a store or shop that does this. i wonder is mazda could do it...anyone know if mazda does this sort of thing

I think shoe repair shops will be able to do it ... you have to talk to one first and take off the steering wheel for them tho ....

How difficult is it to take off the wheel. i mean with all the wires and stuff. its probably pretty hard. has anyone done this before or seen it done

I don\'t think it\'s too hard. There is probably a nut and then the wires are joined by connector. On a Miata (from which I am basing my comments), people used to switch out the base steering wheel with the upgraded Nardi steering wheel all the time...

what about the air bags and such. i dont think id have to take that out. i saw in one of the pictures above that they had the entire air bag taken out. if i have to do that i wont get it done. i went on the mazda.ca website and they have a leather wrapped steering wheel as a mazda 3 accesory. I have a appointment on saturday for my 48K service, ill ask about it then..

well if i want the leather OEM wheel. the dealership said 566 bucks + tax and install...yeah right.. no thanks
