Yeah an unofficial GB has already started.

Methodyst, MazdaTree and I are interested.

US$825 shipped from CVR. Hopefully this will come down a bit with the GB.

What is the difference in suspension between the Sport and sayyyyy a GT Sedan??:hoho

if your talking about why the springs dont fit the sedan? I really dont know. i would assume that the setup is pretty much identical, tein states that they only had the hatch to work on and are unsure if the coilovers fit the sedan. My opinion, they should fit, but id call tein just to make sure, or ask a guy or gal on here that really knows their shit

i have never delt with coilovers b4 but what do you have to do to adjust the ride height?

See those arms to the right? Those clamp on to the coilover near the base of the spring and you tighten with them like a wrench.

What\'s the difference between Tein BASIC and Tein SS?

mEtH
03-14-2005, 06:32 PM
basic is height adjustable and ss is height and dampening.

lukel90

if your planning to do the occasional track day, or just street, i would go with the basics. not many people actually adjust the damnpening on the SS, many dont even know its there. i had a friend who bought coilevers (dont remember from who) but they were fully adjustable. He installed them and didnt change one thing throughout the life of the springs.

I\'ve read somewhere that coilovers have a tendency to be more bouncy then regular spring and shock combo. Is there any truth to this. One thing im agraid of is when the system is installed my rear will be bouncing like crazy, like those guys that cut their springs to lower them. Im exagerating a little but you all know what i mean,.

Would you be able to beat CVR\'s price?
They\'re offering US$860 shipped, even without a GB.

Thats kewl, just means I get my wheels first...I am still in when this group buy takes off unless I couldn\'t hold back and got the d2 suspension. :p I wont be mounting them for almost another month anyways the way the weather is going.

If I can find aftermarket shocks to match Eibach Sportline I might just cheap out and get those instead. However so far the shocks + springs I\'ve seen end up costing more than coilovers.

Yes you will. You\'re still lowering the car and it will give you negative camber.
