Thanks for the picture! I\'m deciding between a swaybar (Mazdaspeed, 21mm) or intake (K&N). Which would bring me more joy? :p

I think you should go swaybar. I\'ve got an intake and it might sound nice at first and \"perhaps\" you gets some additional horses but it sometimes gets annoying under hard acceleration. It sounds like you should be going faster but really you\'re not.

With the sway bar you at least get improved handling with decreased understeer or so I\'ve heard.

Ah yes, but the thing is that I\'ve got a full suspension setup already (shocks/springs) and am happy with the way it handles (though improvement is always welcome!). From what I\'ve read, a swaybar makes a big difference on our cars.

I could do with a bit more power, but I\'m not sure if an intake really does give a significant (not dyno) improvement under normal driving conditions. It\'d be nice to have some performance mods since my engine is still 100% stock.

I vote swaybar! It was one of the best mods on our Miata hands down.

Although I bought an intake (still uninstalled...), I am really starting to question whether it will add any noticeable hp. It may sound good, but I doubt you\'ll get any neck snapping acceleration. Any perceived erformance gains are probably 80% placebo...

If you do have to pick just one, get the swaybar then.
