View Full Version : Anyone ever have a problem with the airbag light

Sometimes when my wife and I are out driving the passenger airbag light stays lit (meaning that the airbag will NOT deploy). I know it \"senses\" whether or not there is a passenger and that persons weight, but what is the limit? It never happens when I\'m in the passenger seat and seems to always happen when my wife is in the seat. She is petite, but is that all it takes, or is there something wrong?

if i remember correctly, it will light if it senses a weight under 39 kilos. it should be in the manual.

I presume that when the airbag light (beside the cigarette lighter) comes on for several seconds at startup that things are normal? This seems to happen regardless of whether there is anyone in the passenger seat. It stays on for a good 5-10 seconds in my car at startup.

It can\'t be 39Kg cause she weighs more than that, or there is something wrong with ours. I\'ll check the manual tonight just to make sure.
