2010 GT new owner and second mazda
Hey everybody. Just picked up a 2010gt 6 speed hatch last night. Really liking the car, big step up from my '02 protege5. Loved my old mazda but the rust and rot took over and it was time to get replaced.

Thanks for fixing the link.. was having some troubles on mobile. So far I'm liking the car, much more comfortable in the winter with heated seats. Having some issues with the remote car starter that the previous owner installed, thinking I'm just going to disable it.
Do we have a b/s/t section on the forum? Looking to buy a few things. Does anyone have any recommendations for shops that are good to deal with for aftermarket parts in the GTA?

Found the marketplace section, disregard that question.
One thing about this car I've noticed, it doesn't put down power in the snow like my protege5.. Always felt like I could get unstuck from anything in that car, don't share the same feeling in the 2nd gen.

I've gotten out of really tricky situations with my Gen2 even with a ton of weight in the trunk, on all-seasons to boot. Maybe you had better winter tyres in the Protege.

I've got a set of Michilin X-Ice XI3s of my gen 2. They're great, easily beat the Perilli snow tires I had previously. Might be worth a look if you're worried about winter handling.

Check if your TCS is on or not. It can be disabled. It's great for winter driving. 2010 GTs have this feature.

Those are actually the same tires I have on the car. They're not bad. I think the main difference is the Toyos I had on my p5 had a much more aggressive tread pattern, in addition to it being a lighter car. I typically turn the traction control off on my early morning commutes, I live in a lake effect are so we routinely get 1-2 feet of snow overnight.
Thanks guys, hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas!

Did you have any problems getting the car safetied with the tinted tail lights?
I just bought an '10 GT Sedan a few months ago. After many repairs/preventative maintenance fixes, finally getting to enjoy it and really loving the car.

I do like the body colored badges, just might have to do that to mine.
