2011 Mazda 3 GX owners, what's your opinion on 15" Michlein tires as opposed to 16"?
I read that it is better to go lower for Winter, but on the car door the recommended door size is 16".
I have 2.0 engine, so I hoped it will be ok to go for 15". However, someone people are complaining about the caliper issue.
Anyone has any experience with this stuff?

I have a 2011 GX and 15" steelies for winter. No problem clearing the calipers. Simply Tire can hook you up all in for around $700

why would smaller be better? i've heard the theory is smaller to slice through snow. but i also heard bigger = more surface area. more surface area = more traction.

I've been running 15" winters on my 2010 Mazda3 Sport GX since new and zero issues, plus its cheaper. Go for it.
