Purchasing Steering Wheel Airbag Question

Hello Eveeryone,

I was thinking of replacing a steering wheel airbag module since my current one is extremely worn out (it looks really gross and it bugs me) and I was able to find one on sale for a really cheap price. My question is, before I purchase an airbag module, how can I check to make sure that it's safe and will work when it's supposed to (i.e it won't deploy unless in a vehicle collision). Or is there any way I can check it out when I visit the store? Thanks!
