Currently using square head wood screws from Home Depo and want to change out before they rust...
if there's an auto parts store near you they should have them, even home depot should. I needed plate screws for my previous car and I picked them up at home depot, just ask someone there and you should be good

Whats the proper length/style? At the meets I've seen people with these raised flat head screwdriver ends that you could use pliers to get them off if rusted.
Re: License plate screws?
I suggest these ones

Can use a screwdriver or socket wrench to get them off in case you round one out or they rust up on you...

I've been contemplating getting the fancy Allen key ones - but worried Canadian winters are gonna rust them swollen then I'll round out the head and be FUBARed
Re: License plate screws?
get stainless steel screws... you can ebay them or find at the store
If you're screwing into the plastic bumper, it's 1/4" or 6mm self tapping screws (pan head sheet metal non-self tapping screws will work)
if you're screwing into the trunk lid (3rd gen), you'll need M6x1.0x20 screws... if you install a frame, cover, or washers, you'll need to go from 20mm to 25 or 30mm, probably

Autosource had em when I checked, tread looks the same like the wood screws im using now.
Are they okay to use? Feel like its digging into the plastic and not proper size.
