I did not check behind the kick panel, however I am the original owner of the car and keep very accurate records of any maintenance. If the shock sensor was done it was not on any work order. What...
Well that's a new one. Nobody at the dealer has brought that up before. Not aware of any recall on the door lock....would be very interested if you had any more info on that ...TSB or..... Does that...
Okay...thanks for checking it out. I'll continue to work on my alarm problem.
Thanks....just to remind make sure all other doors are closed. I didn't think about that the first time I checked mine....ha ha!
So I'll throw this request out to anyone on the forum who has a 2005 hatchback.....does your door ajar dash light come on when the car is running and only the rear hatch is open?
So here's an interesting observation that I just thought of after watching a You Tube video on a Ford alarm. I was led to believe that there was an alarm sensor on all 4 doors, the hood and rear...
Problem has been an issue for almost 10 years off and on. It can go for a year plus without going off and then all of a sudden...... And it does not care where the FOB is....I can be 10 miles away...
Having an ongoing issue with car alarm going off whenever it wants to. It appears to be in one of the door / hood switches. Have disconnected the hood switch and it still goes off. That only leaves 4...
Well the shocks have been replaced. Definitely leaking and lots of corrosion on the shock body at the piston seal under dust cover. Mounts were not in great shape.
Well pulled the wheel today...brake lines dry...shock is damp with oil....piece of the upper protective boot is missing so shock piston shaft is partially exposed. I guess new shocks are I order. At...
Thanks for the feedback! It only started to show a leak on the ground a week ago and I do get the car oil sprayed every year ( and no winter driving last 5 plus years ) so hopefully there are no side...
Thanks....I did see a YouTube video and you are right ...its not that complicated. I still have to pull the wheel to confirm that it is a shock issue. I'll probably check some prices around town once...
Rear shocks are $146.38+taxes each plus labor of $102.40+taxes
Combined Labour and Parts for both is $497.56+taxes.
I'm going to pull the wheel off to have a better look later this...
Just got a price from a Mazda Dealer in London....$497.56 plus tax....ouch!
Hi folks, I think I just discovered that one of the rear struts on my 2005 is leaking....oil on the ground and bottom of strut is soaked in oil. Any feedback on the cost ….parts and labor ... of...
Not quite....vehicle had a complete brake job ( all OEM parts ) including parking brake cable and fluid flush in April 2018 and was parked from November to the end of March 2019. I think this was an...
Well that was interesting. Finally got the car out of hibernation and off to the dealer. My issue with what I thought was a mushy pedal and low pedal turned out to be....wait for it.....an adjustment...
Also, all work done at the Mazda Dealer
I can certainly push it down further if I apply pressure.... also note that this condition existed prior to replacing all parts including both master cylinders. The first master was an aftermarket...
2005 Mazda 3 Sport Gt .... brake pedal is very mushy and pedal goes close to floor. Have replaced pads, rotors, brake fluid, emergency brake cable and second master cylinder....all Mazda OE parts....
Your Quote: " all 05s in USA and Canada came with the diffuser."....mine must be the exception for 2005 as it did not have the diffuser or a cabin filter from the factory. As an additional note I was...
Thanks for your advice. I had planned to have the diffuser / cabin filter removed at the next oil change. Why, because the car never had a cabin filter for the first 160,000 kms from the factory. I'm...
Resistor and diffuser were both installed at the same time ( and for the first time ) when the problem first appeared.
You probably would not understand the affinity I have for this car. Owned since day one with 250,000 kms now....car is like new except for high outside temperature 40 degrees plus AC...
