I have a 2013 2.5L and I can say that anytime it's about -10 or colder it clunks to start. Past about -15c it only starts the second time. Battery has been tested by mazda and is in "excellent"...

I tried the suggestion of letting it warm up and it did help. What I noticed this morning, with the crappy snow weather it still does it regardless of letting it warm up.

Did you do it when it was cold or when the oil was warm? I find the smell only really bad when warmed up.

In all seriousness to find out if this is normal. If anyone has a 2.5L Mazda 3 can you check you dipstick/oil cap?

It's a very strong scent. (Obviously)... If you smell the gas cap and then to and smell the oil cap or oil dipstick it smells not as strong as the gas cap but close to it.

Just smelt my sisters 2012 Mazda 3 2.0 Sky GS and it smells also hardcore of gas. Maybe this is normal....?

Yes they changed the oil according to the work order form I was given.

UPDATE: Just got the car back about 30 minutes ago and drove it to the gym and home. (~50KM)
Car seems to drive well, my only concern is the oil still smelling hardcore of gas. Not sure if it's...

UPDATE: Mazda called and gave me an update about what's wrong

- Head Gasket is gone, will be replace under warranty
- Two fuel injectors are fully clogged and they dripped gas into the oil....
