Yes you can swap the OEM halogens for OEM hid.

No it won't be plug and play from halogen wiring to your OEM hid.

The oem hid ballasts will need a special plug for it to work with your halogen...

I checked my 2006 and there is indeed a square washer that goes with the nut on the positive clamp. My terminals are placed all the way down, but then again, batteries may differ?

Did you tint the tail lights some more? I have carbon gray, and the same led tail lights you have. But mine doesn't look as "gray" as yours.
