Are your tires wearing equally across the tread or just on the inside edge?

Re: Is it hard to sell a 1st gen?

    I second the motion.

Clean the car up real good, and cover as much rust as possible, it will be worth the effort.

Don't just hand it away if the car runs good.

Re: Rust Spots on Mazda3 GX - Rail Dust

Spray it with WD-40? All that does is cover the issue, it does not remove the rail dust or particles.

Only with a proper clay bar procedure can rail dust be removed. Even Iron-X does zip except...

    Re: Warped rotors?

It would require the calipers and pads be removed. No machining of the rotors is necessary, just a go over with sandpaper or emery cloth to clean and smoothen them out of any high spots, same goes...

    Re: Warped rotors?

Brakes are only warranted for 1yr/24k.

Sebi - That is an early sign of a warped rotor. It also usually only shows up under hard braking unless its really bad. You could try cleaning the brakes,...
  10. Re: Should I replace the slave cylinder when I replace my clutch?

Do what? I'm telling him to leave it alone; If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Why are you flushing your brake fluid btw, do you track your car? Otherwise its a waste of money to do so.

  11. Re: Should I replace the slave cylinder when I replace my clutch?

What is your mileage? If you haven't noticed any issues and have relatively low mileage, don't touch it. Just get a new clutch kit put in and be done with it.

    Slave cylinder {clutch release...
  12. Re: 2006 MAZDA 3 SEDAN - Intermittent No Crank/Start Issue

I would suspect the starter or simply the wire to the starter. Some 3s did have issues with that wire/cable right at the starter corroding bad.

    Re: Power Steering Cutting Out

I would suggest it may be as simple as your battery or a loose connection in the battery/charging system. I haven't heard of many issues with power steering otherwise. All the lights coming on is a...

Re: Rust Spots on Mazda3 GX - Rail Dust

I use Mother's Clay bar kit, it worked wonders. Its practically the same as the Maguires. Although I think Maguires now has a kit with a softer bar.
