  2. Are rental vehicles covered under warranty repairs?

Hey guys, I had my rear brakes serviced back in February, calipers, rotors and flex-lines all replaced, at a local Mazda dealership.

Few months later, the Friday of the Victoria Day long weekend,...

Re: What Did You Do To Your Car Today?

Didn't physically do the work, but brought my car to Forbes Mazda and got rear brakes replaced (calipers, rotors, flex line) and control arm replaced. Wallet's empty now. Still have to get power...
  6. Re: Looking for new Headlights... LED v. Halogen v. HID

From what I've read, aftermarket LEDs aren't that good as main headlights yet. Probably want HIDs or new halogens.

    Re: Halo Installation

Can you take some high res photos of the PCB(where the connector meets the PCB and around the ring)? I think there should be places that you can cut it and still have the rest work.

I think if you cut those Morimoto ones at the right place, you can make it a crescent
  10. Re: Replacing OEM Mazda 3 Rotors and brakes - STUCK but resolved

Here is a drawing of why mine were stuck. It is actually not because of the rust between the surface of the hub and rotor, it is what's formed around...
  11. Re: Replacing OEM Mazda 3 Rotors and brakes - STUCK but resolved

What I did was, torch around where the friction surface of the rotor meets the hub part of the rotor evenly for a min or so, then firm hammer taps, you'll see chunks of rust fall off and repeated...
  12. Re: Replacing OEM Mazda 3 Rotors and brakes - STUCK but resolved

I have a 2010 with 100K when I changed my rotors and breaks. The rotors just needed a torch and lots of hammering to release it from the rust seal that formed around the hub, didn't want to hammer it...

    Re: TM3 Home Owners Association

If you're getting condensation on the windows, you might want to check it for leakage. HRVs will TRY to regulate the humidity, but they don't run based on humidity. HRVs are great as they exchange...

    Re: Soft pedal? Suggestions?

The rotors will become thinner, thus further travel of the pedal even with new pads. That plus the new pads breaking into the old rotors could be why. Assuming the installation went without error.

    Re: Soft pedal? Suggestions?

could just be the new pads breaking in, getting meshed with the rotor?

Re: Whitby Mazda - tries to rip you off

I just replaced mine around 100k while replacing the breakpads, I didn't have to replace the rotors, it really depends on your driving habits.

Re: LED as DRL/Highbeam possible?? 08-09

The LED bulbs are usually rated for 20-30k hours, so that's about 2 - 3.5 YEARS of continuous operation. If it is only on for 12 hours a day, double that (4-7 years), 6 hours, double that again (8-14...

    Re: Transmission Fluid Color Problems

If you want peace of mind, then just buy some more fluid and DIY, then you can literally watch the fluid turn pink. That's what I did the first time with my 2010 around 50-60k mark and it was pink...
