What am I missing?
Flagrum_3 , Thanks for the idea. If it is the PSV sticking, I'll wait until it throws a code before replacing it. (Tempted to play with it and replace it myself, but I'm also lazy and it's damned...
It's a good idea, Loki. Except it only happens once every 10-20 times, and it likely won't happen when I record it. LOL.
I was lazy and just did it at the dealer. (So I have no idea...) It's unrelated to the problem as it happened before the plug change.
Thanks for the idea. The battery and alternator are fine. It'll happen after a long drive, as long as the stop is short.
Hi All. My first time asking for help on here.
I have a 2010, 2.5 Manual. All stock. 128K on the odometer.
When re-starting the car after a short stop (up to an hour or so), it sometimes...
Nothing from the OBDII? I'm out of ideas.
Can you tell us a little more about how you diagnosed it? How did you know the pistons are moving up and down when cranked? How did you check for spark & fuel? How did you determine compression? How...
An undergraduate university education in Ontario is heavily subsidized. (No bitching allowed! Especially with extensive student financial support by Ontario and the universities.)
I paid 10 years...
I've never had a problem or heard of a problem with the clutch on the 2010 2.5 6MT. I have one, 120k of mostly city driving, no issues with the clutch. I even taught my significant other to drive...
Depends if the colour / colour code is on the purchase agreement. If it is, they have to meet it or return your deposit. If it isn't, you're SOL if the dealership doesn't honour it.
You guys are arguing over additive vs subtractive. Add all the light wavelengths and you get white. Cast a white light and subtract all the colours and you get black.
Personally, I hate hill holders. My other half's Impreza has it, and when I'm feathering/nursing the clutch, the hill-hold can be late to release and cause it to stall. (I don't like to rev a lot...
The moral of the story is that the speed limit applies regardless whether it's uphill or downhill. I had a friend fail his driving test (decades ago) because of it.
(Not saying you're a bad driver...
You are very, VERY lucky. If it's on the bill of sale, and your signature is on it, you're usually SOL.
The part that worries me is that it's not wear, it's broken off. Regardless of the original cause, you now have a chunk of electrode rattling away in each cylinder.
sarujo I just looked and you're right... and curious why I hadn't done them yet, I also found out my car has less mileage than I thought it did. (I'm still under 120.) How embarrassing.
Also a 2.5L with ~130k. I haven't even been using synthetic. No work at all related to the engine. No throttle body cleaning, or injector cleaning or anything. Not even spark plugs.
Occasionally,...
I'm sure they'd expect proof that it's an IS250 beyond "My friends and car enthusiasts on an internet forum think it is". And even if they believed it, they're not going to go knocking on doors of...
No point getting it repaired as it's just the bumper.
I don't see what the police can do. They're not going to go and inspect every white car in the GTA for a scuffed bumper. They'll take down...
I was chatting but I wasn't distracted.
I saw him as soon as his headlights appeared on the left. As I said in the "analysis", he was visible for exactly 1.0 seconds before he entered the...
My passenger also said it was a Lexus. I couldn't tell then, and I still can't from the video. I canvased the subdivision on the right for all white cars with damage, but couldn't find one. I'm just...
Because I look at everything like an aircraft accident investigation:
The time between his headlights appearing and him entering the intersection was exactly 1 second (30 frames).

Hit & Run. Damned near got killed. Thankfully, just scratches on my rear bumper.

Got caught napping. We can all learn from this video.
