I think there are numerous service bulletin related to this issue. One service bulletin is excessive carbon build up in the throttle body. You may want to get it cleaned if it is dirty. A faulty fuel...
Making one out of sheet metal sounds like a fun idea. You just need some tools, supplies and a little know-how. :chuckle
I had something like that happen to me at a Green and Ross as well, but I was an employee. Stupid apprentice didn't torque the wheels properly after installing new tires and rims. I take it for a...

But also, with the way the master cylinder is shaped on the Mazda 3 and Mazda 5's, it's a little hard to actually get the fluid to contact the tester. You sometime have to suck the fluid out first...
I think you mean "hygroscopic." I made that error before too. But you guys are right. You should have them prove that the brake fluid is bad and not just tell you it's bad. There are tools to test...
Agreed. I learned my lesson after driving on low profile Dunlops and getting stuck next to an 18 wheeler on an inclined road.
I would replace the rear shocks with the mounts if I were you. The mounts are known for snapping as well. I've seen a hand full of this issue.
