I know the 17x7 has been done, but usually it's with +45 or +48 from what I've seen..... That's why I ask as I wasn't sure about the +40.

I'm embarrassed as I should know the answer to this, but I don't.....

How would the "functionality" be of 17x7 +40 on an 07-09 Mazda3 GT sedan at stock height?

Basically what I'm trying to achieve is something functional, but won't make the tires look too big. Tein H-tech is a mild drop; not as low as S-techs.
None of my fenders are rolled; rolling them...

I've got a couple of quotes already, but most shops are advising me to go with 215/50/17 in the front and 225/50/17 in the rear.
Would there be an issue if I go with 205/40/17 in the front and...

Either / or. Both the 2007 and 2010 are GT's.
I haven't been able to sell the 2007, so I still have it.
