    Re: My Dynotronics Review-BEWARE

I find it very difficult to believe that a catback would net an increase of 17WHP and 13TQ.

I have actually seen, on a dyno a Mazda 5 before / after intake ( I think corksport, maybe JBR) and the...

    Re: My Dynotronics Review-BEWARE

With the proper knowledge you could do pretty much anything.
Like this, this is the entire skyactiv ECU, practically fully mapped out, if you had the knowledge to change all the scalars, tables,...

    Re: My Dynotronics Review-BEWARE

The skyactiv is really de-tuned from factory. The 2.5L sky is even further de-tuned. While I agree a tune won't be nealy as drastic as if you tuned a mazdaspeed3, What you can get from a tune is...

  6. Re: Dynotronics - has anyone in Canada/Ontario done it ? What was your experience ?

ATR is great for what it is, especially if you really only need to tune the "essentials" ( MAF cal + WOT fuel / timing ) but being able to adjust all the little stuff makes it run more like OEM.

This is true, was it nearly a year? I had ultimately planned to become a sponsor, this isn't an excuse, but the truth. during the first few months I definitely wanted to be a sponsor, but simply...

    Re: Need new PCM

The security portion of the ECU for the keys and such I believe is held in a different area of the ECU, can't be tuned by the ROM image.

What you can do is completely hack / chop up the security...

Re: Gen1 2.3 to 2.5 swap - done and running

3rd gear shearing is a known issue on the 2.3L 5speed transmissions. upgrade to a 2.5L 6speed, much stronger, and they sell online for about $4-500

Re: Gen1 2.3 to 2.5 swap - done and running

if you remove the front it makes it so easy, and you don't need an engine hoist.

only issue is you have to disconnect the AC and it loses the charge.

Re: Help Wanted : Hi-Boost Kit Install

    nope not even close.

Our ECU's are mostly Mitsubishi, while the ECUTek Miatas are Denso.
1rst gens also have Denso, but it's not the same, doesn't work. ECUTek also goes specifically by the ECU...

Re: Help Wanted : Hi-Boost Kit Install

Either buy a speed 3, or get proper tuning and ensure your parts are in proper working order, AKA the wastegate <--- that alone is an engine killer.

and I can tell you how the miata guys do it,...

    Re: MazdaEdit Discussion

On a Boosted engine 0 is where I like to be at, but 0.5-0.7 is ok if it is just odd occurrences.

NA engines are more "lenient" to KR and does cause as much damage (most of the time), I don't like...

Re: Help Wanted : Hi-Boost Kit Install

What year is your car again? because unless you have a 2010+ 2.0L, your ecu is nowhere near the same, and as much as you get it *close* to a stock 2.5L tune, it won't be.

    That being said, 2* KR...

you swapped a 2.5L engine, but are you on a stock 2.5L tune? that could be the problem.
