Down. The world needs more car meets
Don't forget to factor in your own body weight :D All cars are slower now thanks to quarantine!
If your car will be winter driven then I'd shy away from coilovers or anything adjustable. The salt will seize the adjustment mechanisms. Absolute pain in the ass. Wish I knew that before I put them...
Stoptech 309/street performance is the best all rounder pad. Been using them since 2013 for DD use, track use, autocross, Tail of the Dragon and more
It can handle track abuse.
It can handle...
It'll look great. As for 215 vs 225, are you tracking it or doing autocross, or constantly pushing your tires to the edges of grip on every onramp?
If yes, go 225
If no, enjoy the cheaper price and...
ILR is the bomb. I love their basics first, speed comes naturally approach.
I really want to get back into PITL this year, depending on pandemic, but if it's in downtown Toronto again it'll be...
Indeed it is :) along with a long list of other fun things..
I missed the 2020 season entirely :( hopefully next year
Rust Check definitely drills holes. All holes are in areas you will never see with the doors closed and plugged with black caps.
It's possible your gas cap is old/worn and needs to be replaced. Have you tried a new one? Should be pretty cheap
My family and I have been having Rust Check done (same concept as Krown) for all our cars for over a decade. Never had any rust issues as a result. Definitely worth it. Only paint point is Rust Check...
Thanks for this list! Very comprehensive :) I'll definitely refer to this if my 3 ever becomes my track toy.
"I know many on TM3 say dont touch the brake fluid unless necessary." This triggers me...
2014-2018
Keep it. Find fun local roads and go for drives. Get into autocross and other fun events next season. Have fun with it. Working from home doesn't mean you're trapped at home.
I'm in the same boat...
Removing resonators is a great way to increase drone. Not saying don't, just saying be careful with that approach.
One thing I noticed that makes it louder (that's also free!) is to move or remove...
2020 update:
- Still Welcoming and nice to my dogs.
- Top notch friendly people
- Happy to install mods on my 3
- Rates still great
Been driving out from KW for 4 years now because they're...
If it had to be a new non-mazda:
Ford Mustang Ecoboost with High Performance Package (RS engine :) )
Volvo S/V60 with T6 4cyl engine
But I've really enjoyed my mazdas and will always have one in...
OK I'll bite.
1) Everything your car does comes down to 4 contact patches of rubber, approximately the size of your hand on average. Look at your hand. 4 patches of rubber, one for each corner of...
Front and rear sway bars will help but you should adjust your springs and shocks to your liking first. Your choice of bars will vary depending on suspension setup.
I have the 2 litre gen 3 with the Racing Beat exhaust. Located in KW. Let me know if you want to set something up
Quality Auto was my goto but they recently retired :(
Achilles Mazda in Milton is now my new default shop. Definitely done right by me.
If you ever drive in the US the speed limit can be up to 80mph. That's a terrible excuse. Record the issue and complain to Mazda.

Also read the ones for 732 and 734. Common theme is transmission fluid. Could be a good place to start investigating. I'd ask the dealer how they arrived...
Pro kits unless you want to destroy any semblance of comfort
Performance summer tires on light weight wheels.
A lovely exhaust that doesn't drone too loudly in the cabin.
If you're looking to be lowered, a reasonable strut/spring combination that doesn't...
