I still have my 04 Winning Blue hatchback. Still remember reading Xenon's and MajesticBlueNTO's DIY posts.
435,000km today. OG 2.3L engine & 4AT tranny. Still going strong as my daily driver.
I would fix it, drive it for 24 months and then look to trade in/sell for a replacement. You want to recoup some of the money you just spent on the repairs but also have the car in a condition where...
Amazing. I lose.
435,000km now.
In my almost 15 years of ownership, I have never attempted to change the cabin air filter myself. This is exactly why.
Bring the car into Jimmy @ StreetPerformance. Let's see if he help you...

Already had my PCV...

Don't...
Yes it is. $95 cash. Just got mine done this morning. Friendly and fast service. Complementary car wash included as well. Air conditioned/Wi-Fi/TV waiting area. Don't need TM3 plates, just...
Changed my AT oil filter & pan on my 2004 for the first time last year. Cost was about $45 Pan & $90 Filter.
If you plan to keep the car for awhile, go for it.
Still runs strong. 400,000km+ now on OG 2.3L. Burns a little oil and small oil leak on rear main seal. Typical rust in popular areas (wheel wells, door b-pillar, hatch).

You have a Winning Blue right? How's the rust?
Will roll over 400,000km today on the drive home.
Will hit 400,000km on the next oil change in June. Original engine and transmission.
350,000km+ this weekend.

Just picked up my 2nd order of OEM parts this week. Decided to go all OEM rotors & pads (OEM "BBK" - Mazdaspeed3 Fronts, Mazda5 Rear). Even had them source me a pair of Ford Fusion Wiper Nozzles...
With the car approaching 335,000km, I needed to replace some wear and tear items and needed to source OEM parts. Since Joe/Flipdaddy's departure from Mazda of Toronto, I haven't had a "go to" source...
