You think a PDR place would be enough? I was thinking I'd need a body shop since it looks like my scratch is down to the metal.
Also, what would my rust risk be if I left it like that for a while?

My fault... scratched the concrete beam in my parking garage as I was pulling out, when I was too tired (0 hours sleep) but I...
Damn! Just saw this thread now... was wondering what happened to those guys (JR Auto). They did a good job with my rust-proofing last year and for a great price.
Too bad they're not in business...
What if I left it off? Mine look kinda ghetto... as in, they both have bends in them... don't really look that great...
I have a 2012 Mazda3 GT. On monday morning when i went to take my car to work, i saw one of the black plastic "roof clips" popped up from the roof of my car! I carefully removed it and put it onto...
KA-BOOM!
:tomato
whatever it was, it wasn't coolant. the smell disappeared after Tuesday. coolant levels have been fine every day this week, i checked every morning to be safe -- right where it should be according...
the smell was 90% gone today morning. i.e. i smelled a hint of it when I opened the door and sat in the driver's seat then after that, nothing.
not sure what happened...
So yesterday I noticed a sweet gas-like smell in my passenger compartment at lunch. Not sure what it was, except I was pretty sure it was NOT gasoline, and it was NOT a "rotten egg smell" (sulfur). ...
i remember once when i filled up at a gas station in Waterloo... i think at the corner of King and University? ... the click-off thing on the fuel pump wasn't working... so it filled up my gas tank...
So, insurance will take care of it? I wonder if they use these sorts of incidents against you when it's time for policy renewal. That would suck.

so, since you've been trumpeting your horn in a dozen threads...
agreed! it looks pretty sweet. the question is just, which company did Mazda go to, to get the GPS from? Garmin? TomTom?
nope...
i actually had an Accutire gauge i bought 5 years ago for the acura, that always worked well, but i gave it to a friend. CT doesn't seem to sell that brand anymore.
and yes i do push...
I've got a tire inflation question. To check tire pressure at home on my Mz3 I bought a Michelin digital tire pressure gauge from Crappy Tire. $15, on sale from $30.
But the damn thing won't lock...
Can you try recording the noise (with your smartphone or something) and posting it?
Chalk me up as another person to join the Rattle Club! My Mazda3 is 6 weeks old, and the rattling seemed to have started about a week ago. I guess since the weather dropped below 10 degrees on a...
sorry for the late post... but did you happen to hit a curb lately?
that may have caused damage to suspension components --> cause a vibration/shimmy which is still felt with a new set of tires &...
+1 variable intermittent wipers served me well for all my previous vehicles and i wish there was an option to "downgrade" to those ones ;)
when i bought my GT all the GT-E's were sold out...
BTW, "visibility when reversing" - what does that have to do with GT?
BTW2, heated seats are not really a big deal unless you are comparing to a base model civic/rolla. my 10 year old acura...
Optiguard/Opticoat on rims is the way to go.
I tend to agree, removing a spare to "save gas" makes about as much sense as driving without speakers, radio, passenger seats, trim, etc.
better yet, you guys should start going to the gym, it's...
what is that? plastic? metal?
my 2012 Mazda3 GT is new (4 wks old) and it needed rebalancing + re-alignment at 2 weeks old! steering wheel vibration @ highway speeds was noticed when it was just 3 days old.
I'd have to say this one really sucks... just had my car "washed" here... the lower sections of the doors on both sides were basically untouched! ugh.
