Re: Radiator fins are jutting out

super potato pic... I can't even see what that is... take a pic further away and post using a real image sharing service that doesn't really jack up the pic quality, such as google photos,...

Re: 2011 mazda 3 GS 2.5 Service manual

you're supposed to buy them... look on ebay for the best prices

if you want a scanned copy, look on the mazdaspeed forums... it'll be labelled for a "mazdaspeed" 3, but it contains information for...

Re: Front stub axle hot. Worn out?

70F? that's 21C... that's not hot to touch! in any case, it's all close by the exhaust and engine, so radiant heat from them will warm them up.. have you looked into warped rotors, seized brake...

You're so funny... the shop manual says exactly what to do to change the coolant, which is just simply drain and fill... if flushing was OK, it would've said so and what procedure/machine to use......
  9. View Post

The dealer "recommends" because they make a lot of money doing this. Mazda nor any other manufacturer don't recommend any flushing. Don't confuse the two as the same.
  10. Re: Converting your OEM Differential to Limited Slip Differential (LSD)

Do you know even know what the word "jigg" means? The MS3 trans is completely different... you're a fool to even raise that and ask those LSD manufacturers that question... applications for the...

Re: Disable GEN 4 DRL "Headlights"

it could be as simple as pulling the fuse for it.. that's how it can be done on the 3rd gen IIRC, but I'm not 100% sure as I didn't really want to do the mod...

Re: Disable GEN 4 DRL "Headlights"

if you don't know what to do on any other 3 but a 2nd gen, stay in your own lane
  13. Re: Converting your OEM Differential to Limited Slip Differential (LSD)

you must be joking... I really stopped taking your post seriously after reading the first line... at that price, you're about halfway there to an mfactory LSD, which is a real helical gear LSD, not...
  14. Re: Brake Fluid performance vs cost, Mazda interval maintenance

DOT5.1 will work fine too, and probably better for those up north... it's designed to work well with ABS pumps in the cold, as it won't thicken up... it ought to also let the clutch cylinders work...
  15. Re: Brake Fluid performance vs cost, Mazda interval maintenance

for most people, the cheap castrol DOT4 (used to be called GTLMA) works good enough... if you're in an emergency, the Prestone DOT4 from walmart works in a bind... everything else that's worth...

Re: Batter problem or is this normal? 2014 M3GT

get it recharged and tested... you should also check the electrolyte level before you recharge it... top up with distilled water only... do not fill to the brim.... there should be max level marks on...
  17. Re: The is the BEST Oil Filter for your car OEM Mazda / Aftermarket / Performance

think very carefully about "high flow"... usually that means less filtering, because that's less resistance..... something you don't really need for the street... for racing, probably, because oil...
  18. Re: The is the BEST Oil Filter for your car OEM Mazda / Aftermarket / Performance

read what you said, and think about that very carefully... you'll see that is complete nonsense, because it's clear that engineers know better than you, since there are some OEM filters for some cars...
  19. Re: The is the BEST Oil Filter for your car OEM Mazda / Aftermarket / Performance

you're making a mountain out of a mole hill... an anti-drainback valve is only needed if the filter is inverted or sideways... the filters on all the 3s, of all 4 generations are installed with the...

    TLDW

sticking to OEM filters, because they work and are very good
  21. View Post

no... the elevation differences are small, and even then, the ECU compensates for slight differences... this isn't a carburetted car, where you have to retune the carb to go up a mountain
  22. View Post

you need to stop looking at everything, and start looking at your accessport first
any time you screw around with the ECU tuning, weird things can happen

Re: Problem with oil 5w50 sn

Re: Problem with oil 5w50 sn

nothing is stated on the cap.... that's a US/Canada thing only
50 weight oil is one of the listed "recommended" oils in the non-US owner's manual... just a copy and paste from older owner's manuals...
  25. Re: Brake pads : OEM Pads vs Aftermarket performance

aftermarket "performance" brake pads are not always better than the stock OEM pads.... many of them are street pads that are biased towards good initial bite, that gives the perception that they work...
