Have you upgraded your fuel pump yet?
Happy Birthday Jeff!!
I found that the best place for them was behind the bumper re-bar plate (that big metal plate that runs across the front of the car behind the bumper). You can use some double sided tape and then put...
At first thought it was mine, but nope.
Welcome to the forums and good choice of car.
Nope, fairly sure they're different.
I always used the same positions as the emergency jack for the jack stands. It worked fine for me.
It's probably because of the way they measure the power, the compression ratio, and the amount of boost being run.
How do you think the STi with a 2.5L makes over 300HP whereas the Speed3 makes...
Yup, because the car comes with performance summer tires.
Anyone locally have one that they can take you for a spin in?
I bought mine without a test drive too.
I second that, and would actually say that it's better than other front wheel drive cars because of the limited slip which will help in slippery conditions... And this is coming from a guy who just...

Did the extended warranty actually get transferred into your name?
It doesn't say anything about excluding those who had the turbo already replaced.
It even indicates that they may reimburse you for any repair costs you paid out of pocket for this problem.
No...
Hey guys - I received a notice from Mazda today and looks like they've finally stepped up and acknowledged that there may be an issue with the K04 turbo in the Gen1.
I'll spare you the details but...
That's good to hear.
Did they figure out why it happened to begin with? I'd hate to go through all this only to have the ECU get fried again after the first flash you try.
For some reason it's tough to find locally. I get mine from eShine but Parts Source has it and I *believe* that NextMod may also.
I use "More Shine Less Time" and didn't notice any spitting. Good thing with that product is that it won't dry out your tires or brown them.
That sucks, hopefully they can get it resolved asap.
You may want to speak with Cobb before you remove the ECU, just in case they can get it to reflash without sending the ECU to them.
If it's anything like the Gen 1, it should be right next to the battery in the engine compartment. You need to remove the entire battery tray to get the ECU out.
Can you try jacking the car up higher next time? I've done a rear engine mount many many times in my own driveway and yes, it's very tight but I've been able to use a full size torque wrench each...
Did you use a torque wrench the first time you installed it?
You need to torque those bolts to 70 ft/lbs and keep an eye on that bolt that connects the motor mount to the transmission mount,...
Did you see more than the usual amount of smoke out the tail pipe when this happened? If you don't have an oil catch can, you'll be surprised how much crap will collect in the manifold after a while...
Ya, that was a crazy snow storm!
If you can't figure it out, an option may be to leave it for a week or two and see if it goes away. Sometimes these things come and go.
Like Fobio said, see if you can get us a log.
At idle the vacuum should be ~ -10psi or -20Hg
