AND you said you were under your dad's name... so why go under your dad's name with the most expensive insurance company known to man then go on your own and possibly get a better quote?

at 16 i was paying 340 for a cavalier under my own name living in hamilton as a brand new driver... your rate couldn't just be a result of living in in brampton...

Why don't you change companies? Shop around and see if you can get a better overall rate for both you and your dad.... if he ends up paying more than he does now you just hand him a few bucks to make him even or better.

Too much, $800 a month right now but Im gonna take my car off the road again soon cause the weather is nice so I'll use my bike, the lowest quotes Ive found for myself were generally around 500 until I turn 25 which thank god is coming in a couple months but im waiting for my renewal to switch, til then I'll prly just use my motorcycle cause insurance is cheap on a ninja 250

Why on earth would you pay Brampton rates if you reside in Mississauga? Even 'Sauga rates are bad enough so I told my insurance company I live in Guelph now

In the process of going out on my own for insurance as my parents TD is giving me the boot in about 10 days. 20 year old student, 3 tickets (1 speeding, 2 disobey legal sign - ticket defenders got them lowered to those which were originally speeding tickets). No claims, 2011 GT. Basing this out of Timmins, ON which is where I'm originally from, currently going to school in London. Belair is the cheapest I've found at $4500 for the year. It was over double if I told them I was driving it while at school in London.
Currently in the process of switching the ownerships to my name from my Moms. Looks like I hafta get it certified, hopefully they don't mind my tinted tail lights.
I also had to change the address on my drivers licence to show that I no longer live at home therefore I can't drive any of my parents vehicles, uuugh such a hastle!
