Car is co-owned with my dad.
I'm the primary driver, multi-car discount, home insurance.
One at fault accident (although it should've been 50/50 due to it being in the parking lot.) But I had a "first at fault" waiver (get out of jail free card).
$500 deductible.
1 speeding ticket not convicted yet.

Quick question...it's a little off topic...

I recently got a speeding ticket, but chose the option to go to court to fight it. My insurance policy is going to be renewed in June. Since I haven't been "convicted" or "proven guilty" of the speeding charge yet, this ticket won't affect my renewal right?

Belair has quoted me a lot less, and once my carpool days are over going to swap over. Belair quoted me about ~120 less PER month. Not sure what's up with personal.

I talked to personal too and they said if I had my G at this point I was looking at ~100 less per year. Not that awesome.

I was calling around for quotes and I called Canadian tire insurance and they asked me the weirdest question.... As soon as I told them that I own a Mazda 3 they asked me if it's got rust... I've never had a company ask me that.

Moving from North York to Scarborough is increasing my rates by almost $760 which is simply ridiculous.

Looks like I will be shopping around because for a 30 year old with 0 tickets and 1 at-fault accident almost 6 years ago is simply brutal!
