    Default license plate frame

My front plate protector is all cracked up from 2 years of rocks hitting it on the highway. Time to get a new one.

Anyone know where I can get a plate frame that is:
    - cheap
    - legal/clear
    - has 2 holes (and not 4)
    - not a dealer frame
    - not one of those \"bubble frames\"

(Not much of an exterior mod per se, but I think it fits best here. Mods, feel free to move the thread the appropriate section.)

I beleive ther\'s a store at first Markham that sells auto acessories. They have clear plate covers there for $5.99. I\'m not sure if they\'re bubble or not bubble though.

As soon as we get enough funding, we will be selling TM3 plate covers.
They will be the price of decals - approx. $6 for 1, $10 for 2. i.e. they will be cheap.

(The more tm3 polos you guys purchase, the sooner we\'ll get the plate covers and new decals up and running.) HINT! HINT! NUDGE! NUDGE!

    They WILL be clear.

They are similar to dealer frames, but will have torontomazda3.com on it, instead of \"X\" dealer.

They will probably just have 2 holes - not sure.

    {Yes, I am advertising for us again.}:hoho

Problem is you\'re going to have to wait.

If you don\'t mind getting the chrome one \"dinged up\",
how about you somehow glue (??) or attach the chrome one OVER (??) the plastic cover?
    Yes, silly idea, I know.:p

Canadian tire has a metal (zinc?) plate cover combo that comes with a clear shield plate underneath. The frame itself is chromed so it can look nice depending on your car/style. The only problem is at the front end the chrome gets a bit pock marked over time from road grit etc. You can deal with it as you would any other chrome bumper though.

There is a 2 hole, and a 4 hole version. The holes come with plastic (and chrome plated) fitted plugs. I have the 4 hole version and just glued in the cover plugs with some silicone to prevent them from accidentally comming out.

oh, these aren\'t cheap @ $16 but they are probably the best thing that cdn tire has. I think there is a matte black one also for 2 hole.
