are you talking from experience??? b/c if you are not then you should just keep quiet.. a lot of folks here have had their cars fixed after showing the TSBs.. there are 2 factors.. the dealer you go to and HOW you tell them about the TSBs...
i had my glove box replaced and the 'thud' (bottoming out) fixed..
I want to clarify something for those people that always bring in TSB's for service advisors to look at. You can't just replace something under warranty b/c you saw it on a TSB.
There are steps each dealership has to follow in order to make a valid claim for warranty.
Oh and Ford Focus TSB's do not apply to Mazda vehicles.
Yes I am talking from experience. I have had the squeeky brake problem with my 2005 since new, and still have it. I phoned my dealer with no help from them. Phoned Mazda N.A. and was told the TSB did not apply to Canadian cars. But in defense I had my wiper blades and arms replaced, still not that great, and the tranny flash update. An inexpensive fixes compared to the brakes.
Sorry Majic, maybe I should have mentioned this in my original post.
What do you mean on "HOW you tell them about the TSB?" Maybe you should look at your post on how you worded it.
sorry that they haven't been able to fix it under warranty (TSB) if you qualifies..
i just meant there's a difference b/w some cocky 19 y.o walking in with TSB in had and saying.. fix it biatch.. it says so here.. do it! vs being polite and if that doesn't work escalating it to the manager and higher up..
but i see you've done all that.. have you tried another dealership? might be worth the drive to a reputable one.. just a thought
It's true....the dealer (service department) ALWAYS tells me not to look at the TSB's in the USA because it's completely different as it comes from Mazda USA, not Mazda Canada. They also tell me to avoid ALL the Mazda boards too.
In any case, in Canada, we tend to get Mazda TSB's later than in the US.
In any case related to TSB's let the service advisor do his/her job and they will check if there are any related to your cars.
is there a canadian list?
Link seems to be broken.

2007 GT Sedan 5spd CWP | Rays Mazdaspeed Wheels | Tri-Point Engineering Rear Swaybar
SPC Camber Links | Bilstein Coilovers | Tint | LED Brake
okay just a quick question...
from what I have read and my experience over the past couple of days with MOC
TSB's are useless if my car is out of warrenty.
They are essentially there for the dealerships to know about known problems and what to do about them.
Am I correct? becuase im about to have to dish out $550 today to fix a known issue...Damn Mazdas
^I'm not sure.. but if it was a known issue that they've announced a recall for.. then I would fight the dealership to pay for it.

There is a theory which states that a billion monkeys pounding on a billion keyboards will eventually produce the works of Shakespeare.
Thanks to the Internet, we now know this theory is wrong.
