Going To Buy Xbox 360

hey i won a quite a bit at poker today and tomorrow i was going to go out and buy a 360, does anyone have any comments or things like dont buy that cause its a rip off,(example wireless controller) let me know thru your experiences. ya i know ps3 is coming out but im going to wait for the price drop, and xbox isnt moving on there price anytime soon so w/e ill just buy it. im looking at getting the premium bundle, let me know what you think.

I'd wait for the wii, although the console isn't graphics oriented compared to either the 360 or the ps3, the funfactor is way up the roof.

the wii game line up is great but you have to have an opened mind and give the games a shot.
Gaming in Asia is alot different than North America in reference to the mindset of people. At first glance, many games that you probably wouldn't dare touch with a 10foot pole are definately great games to play if you give them a shot. (in the privacy of your own home LOL)

Go for it! I've had my 360 since this spring and I love it. At the very least make sure you have an HDTV so you can take full advantage of its graphic capabilities, having it connected to a 5.1 surround sound system would be ideal since all games are in Dolby Digital 5.1.

The only slight knock that I have against owning a 360 is that you have to pay get get online - it isn't much, $59.99 per year for a Gold Membership. However, Best Buy is running a special this week where you can buy Splinter Cell Double Agent (great game, by the way) and they will give you a 1 year XBox Live subscription for free.

I would suggest checking out the following games:
- Splinter Cell Double Agent
- Burnout Revenge
- Call of Duty 2
- EA NHL 07
- Lost Planet (downloadable demo through XBox Live)
- Gears of War (to be released in November)
- Fight Night Round 3

ok so i picked it up today, its awesome. i got it at costco for 559.99CAD with pgr3 an extra wireless controller and controller recharger, xbox live, and the 1250 online pionts. i also picked up nhl 07 (ea version) and its awesome, but the controls are pretty hard, have to get used to them.

Keep the boxes and the receipts. You can return everything when ever you want.
