I still remember meeting everyone for the first time. It was very exciting. Weather was great too!

Correction from 3GFX's post:
Club was founded Feb 2004 by TM3

Xenon quickly became VP and took over administrator responsibilities, as TM3 had other activities to manage.
Xenon is the one that got the ball rolling when it comes to merchandise such as decals, license plate covers, polo shirts, club banner, etc.
I don't know if this answers your question regarding HOW it was founded

One of the reasons why it was founded was for discounts

As seen here

the community got bigger through google search, mazda3forums and word of mouth. (Even though I still can't believe a CAT found it too! Which by the way, am I going to get to see it?)
Not that I don't have anything to say, but I'll let others continue from here as in my opinion, things eventually started going downhill. (I agree with majic when it comes to the dot com. Reason being - fewer members, things were simpler back then.)
