Default Mazda3 Touring Edition 2007 Buy Now or Wait a Couple of Months?

I'm currently driving a '99 vehicle. I've had to repair it three times since last summer. It's not dead or anything but I reallllllllly like the Mazda3. I didn't know which model to choose at first. I do know that I love the look of the GT but it is a little bit out of my price range. I test drove the Touring Edition and loved it. It had everything that I was looking for pretty much. The only add-ons that I would get are the spoiler, tinted windows and wheel locks. Now the big question is to buy now or wait for the next couple of months for when the 2008's come out? I don't want an '08 but I am hoping that the '07 will come down in price? One dealership I went to was offering 1.9% financing and another was offering 1.4% financing. Here is my quote:
    $22285.00
    $517.95 spoiler
    $50.05 wheel locks
    $365.00 tinted windows
    $1275.00 freight
    $100.00 air tax
    $75.00 gas tax
    $26769.20 total to finance
if i put $5000 down, my payments would be $375.88/m for 60m.
does this sound good or 'right' to any of you? sorry, i've never bought a new car before. scary thing for me! thanks!

hmm... still no call... didn't mean to scare you.

First off not sure where you went but the Touring Edition comes with a spoiler. which means, they are over charging you at least $500..

As for the 1.4% that is if you have had another Mazda in the recent past. and it isn't something you should have to negotiate.

As for the changes in the 08... the interest will be a lot higher.. and according to the price lists made available on June the 1st for the 08, there isn't going to be an 08 Touring Edition..

according to the pamphlets i've picked up, the spoiler isn't included w/ the touring edition.

as for the 1.4%, he asked if a mazda was in the family (which one is). but it won't be the one that is being traded in.

what i was getting at about waiting until the 2008's come out is...will the price of the 2007 inventory go down because they need to clear them out? will the financing stay the same on the '07 when the '08 come out? sorry to confuse you i want an '07 but want to know if i will get an even better deal if i wait a couple of months.

i hate this new car thing. i don't know if i'm getting ripped off or not and my dad is over 300km's away

Doesn't need to be traded in, just need the VIN and the relationship of the owner, hopefully the addresses match.

can you tell me why there is no information about a spoiler being included with the touring edition on the mazda site or in the pamphlet? seems a bit odd.

can you give me an idea as to if these prices are way off? am i getting somewhat of a deal or should i be trying to lower it a lot more?

    thanks!

I owe you an apology, actually the 2006 does have a lip spoiler and orginally the 2007 had one until final pricing at which point they included the LED tails and changed the colour to the Galaxy Grey....

    Wow is my face red.

As for the pricing, I know I can probably do better for you, but you really need to gimme a call or drop by.

    hi lars,

yes the taxes and installation charges are included in the spoiler, wheel locks and tinting. i know you guys are going to laugh at this, but is it better to get wheel locks elsewhere? and what about tinting? have it done at the dealer when i get the car or take it somewhere else afterwards? sorry, i'm a super newbie.

may as well get the wheel locks from the dealer. The tinting price is high. One of our sponsors has tinting for $199 plus taxes, http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...ad.php?t=18835 .

Tinting definately go somewhere else after you pick up the car
Really the only thing that dealership will do is drive it to their tinting shop and charge you a 50% increase for the same thing

Just give Jeff (biz) a call and he'll take care of you

Call Jeff, he is a very easy guy to talk to, I purchased 2 cars from him on the same day and the process was painless. He is a no pressure guy and tell you everything you need to know and as a bonus his price was way better than my other quotes.

Abby search the forum and you will find a ton of great reviews about Jeff Holley!

Wheel locks must be free with all Mazda 3's. I didn't order them or ask for them, or pay for them. But there they were on my car when I picked it up. The plastic bag was in the trunk.

My wheel locks were never discussed in my price, and never on my invoice.
