Tips are if you've decided on a tint % already, if you have a light interior, go darker.
2006 Mazda 3 Sport GT 5 speed manual. Titanium Grey. Eibach Pro-Kit. TWN Shift Bushings. 13% Solar Gard HP Tint. Black painted brake calipers (Dupont brush on kit) Love stains in the back. New mod: replaced original Gt bumper with a new one without plate holes. Relocated plate. (Thanks raccoon!)
what's a good tinting % for a white car and black interior?
Pearl White 2007 Mazda Axela GT with 6000k Prolumen HIDs, 35/28 Tints, Axela Badge
Hi,
Most people do go with 35% all round.
It looks amazing
Let us know ok

I think 35% is too light... 20% is much better.
i've got mine 35% in front and 5% at the back
Thanks Audio Heaven... i can't do tinting yet.. or rather i can't do ANY mods until i pay my family debts haha
um.. so let me guess... the lower the percentage the darker it is right?... sorry.. i'm a n00b
I did 20% all round. The only reason 35% is the most popular is because it is the darkest tint that you can legally put on the front windows. Anything darker is illegal.
I forgot to mention that I tinted my windows at TINT KING for $200. It's been a year and I have no complaints.
I used Tint king for my previous car. The tint on my driver window kept on peeling off. They offer life time warrenty. So I kept going back to get them to fix it. After a about 5-6 times, I just got sick of going back and I just lived with one window untinted.
Also after 5 years on the car, the tint really faded away.
So, for my experience, they have excellent service and they back up their warranty really well. I'm just not sure they use the best product.
I'll go somewhere else to tint my new M3.
(that was Tint King in Barrie)
A great place I dealt with before and will again very soon is called Auto Links. Its located in Scarborough. Good is your friend
Anyone here on the forum done their tints at Ziebart?....
I want to get my 3 tinted maybe 28% as 35% is too light for me....the only thing that is stopping me from tinting is the fading of the tints (dyed) which is inevitable in the long run....the only ones that will not fade are the metalized ones but they may block wireless signals for the GPS and cell phone...
has anyone here gone for metallized ones and how did they like them?
[QUOTE=mazdathree;286001]the only ones that will not fade are the metalized ones but they may block wireless signals for the GPS and cell phone.../QUOTE]
I dunno where you got this information from... but I'm almost 100% sure metalized tints won't affect cell phone signal levels... I have metalized tints and I've had 0 issues with my phone and GPS.

[QUOTE=RemaerdLacidar;286230]thats good to hear that you have zero issues with the metalized tints...I got the information on the internet and also some one on this forum was mentioning about this if I correctly remember....nevertheless, which brand do you have, what % and where did you get them done?....I may go for the metalized ones then....
I have SolarGard @ 22% all around...
I'm from Ottawa, so I had them done at a tinting shop here in Ottawa... but you might try Audio Heaven -- one of the sponsors of this board
Solar guard is a good brand....I'll look into this further.......thanks
