desactivation of automatic headlights washers

Does anyone know how to desactivate the automatic headlights washers (things that spread water when you activate the ones for the windscreen)?

According to this, the headlight washer will operate only if the headlights switch is at the ON position. So I guess you can turn off your headlights and then activate the washer if you don't want the headlight washers to go on.


• If the windshield washer switch is turned on when the ignition and headlight switches are at the ON position, the headlight cleaner motor operates.

• The headlight cleaner operates only one time for every five times the windshield washer switch is operated.

• If manual operation occurs within two to five times of the windshield washer switch being operated, the number count is reset. Also, if the headlight switch is turned to the OFF and then to the ON position, the count is reset when the windshield washer switch is turned on.

we need that too, we have heavy snow and saltly roads as well.

Well European standards are much better, a lot of cars have 'heated' headlamp washers for the winter.
