    Default Muffler

Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to install just a muffler on the 2007 Mazda 3 Sedan GT?

I dont want an entire cat back. However I do like the sound of a magnaflow muffler. So this being said is it possible to install a magnaflow muffler? And if so, does anyone know where i can buy just the muffler which will fit my piping in the car>?

Hopefully jimmy can do the install..

    Thanks.

Even cheaper, muffler delete. Follow the link for sound comparison.

if muffler delete is on option:
    a) how expensive is that to do? does it require alot of work?
    b) will i get in trouble lol by mazda? bc its a leased car?

Or is it still possible to throw on a compatible magnaflow, or after market muffler which sounds nice (low tone).

    a) $80 lets say, depends on your local exhaust shop. It's just 30min of labour and $10 in pipe.
    b) No idea

Yes it's possible, I've read on M3F that it has been done, but you need a muffler that is side intake and center exhaust (or vice versa).

With respect to the lease you have to ensure that when you return the car to them that it is stock otherwise I would think they would charge you to do it themselves. As for warranty. We've posted about this over and over again.

Don't put a fart can on your 3... and muffler delete is also pretty cheesy in my opinion. If your going to get an exaust do it right bud... otherwise your going to get the "what does this guy think hes doing" look as you drive down the street... i am a believer in the "to each there own" idea.. but come on man.. a fart can?

No, Carisle isn't talking about an axle back, just your standard muffler replacement. Or that's what I took it as.
