Default Weather Tech Floor liners vs OEM All-weather mats

Is the weathertech worth the money?
    Which would you buy?

    Tale of the tape:
    OEM:
    $86.20 plus taxes (MOT discount)
    pickup from a dealership
    no lip
    mazda logo
    good coverage

    Weathertech floor liners <<-- linky
    $209.90 plus tax
    free shipping from Canada
    lip all around
    weathertech logo
extra coverage (rear and some deadpedal area)

    I found this thread: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/po...lts&pollid=200
anyone from that thread want to elaborate on how the weathertechs that they own have held up over time? same goes for the OEM?

We have the OEM in our 06 mz3, seems to be okay so far.
Maybe I'll just get the fancy floor liners just to be different.

Wow. I haven't seen those Weathertech's before. They look really good.
I have OEM all-weather mats but I still use a DIY liner under it which has wider coverage (I have it going up the side of the carpet similar to how the Weathertech's are).
I like the OEM's because they fit the car perfectly but the fit of these Weathertech's look great too, although $209.90 is pretty pricey.

True ... and after all those lips for sure some dirt/snow still will fall out to your carpet , and still needed to clean it ... and $209 for the floor mat are you kidding me

I'm totally going to pick those up! I've been using Weathertech mats for years in my Sunfire and they're great. Worth the price.

Last I checked they didn't have a set for the Mazda3 though, so I'm happy to see these available!

Well it has taken them 3 yrs to finally design them...

    Look good, but $200?

Anyone want to try and arrange a group buy?
    Damn you photobucket.....

They're only $120 for the front row! That's all I would need if I was getting them as I don't have too many passengers. I like my OEM mats but my carpets get a little dirty in the winter.

I think that extra piece that joins the 2 sides in the back would be a worthwhile investment to protect that area of the carpet. Plus, I like how the front passenger side goes right up to the plastic.

Some pics of the liners in action:

Just select the fronts on their website instead of front and back.

Well... if I do this, it may be for more than just mats. I'll make some calls and try to post something up this afternoon. I'll see what else the distributer has for our cars as well.

We actually carry WeatherTech, I can run a GB right now if you're interested. I have pricing and everything available.

This would solve a lot of the problems that winter brings. I was planning on buying the cheap plastic from crappy tire and cutting it to fit and putting my winter mats on top. This might solve that solution, obviously at a cost.

Patrique, go ahead and kick things off. I think you'd be able to do distribution much easier than I can, and the price is good.

For anyone interested... as I said... I highly recommend Weathertech. Served me well in the past!

The only thing that I am not liking is that I cant run them year round because it will cover my dead pedal. Not a big deal but these things look pretty slick and I wouldn't mind using them year round.
