You need to get the the original exhaust cut out and then weld in the speed3 exhaust. You can optionally have it extended a few inches to better fit the sedan bumper.
I recently installed the speed3 exhaust with the extension and a Vibrant resonator.
Adding the extension and resonator (to keep the exhaust a bit quieter) requires a few extra cuts and welds.

i like how it sounds.. it isn't that loud compared to all the others.. i am going to start looking for a ms3 exhaust! =)
If you do not install the extra resonator, the cops will hear you coming down the street.
really is it that bad? hmm i am debating if i should get a custom exhaust or just pick up a hks or something a long those lines.. but i wanted something not too loud.. what would you guys recommand?
I like the deep growl of the Borla, but it's around $1000.
You could also look into the mazdaspeed accessory exhaust for the sedan.
I have the MS3 exhaust on my car. I personally don't think its that loud, but I have been told that people can hear the low rumble of the exhaust from a block away.
I have some video clips now. The audio only sounds accurate if you have stereo speakers and a subwoofer. No built-in speakers please.
Watch the videos on youtube
Apparently the driver in the OP video says he experienced a loss of power, instead of a gain. It appears he's right, but I don't care because I don't race.
But on the other hand, I got just under 400km on half a tank of gas, instead of my usual low-300s range.
i have a ms3 exhuast on my 2.3l sedan. i love the sound it makes very agressive. the best way to hear it is to go check out some of the cars at some meets chances are ull find what ur looken for. ill make a vid to sorrta help u out.
installation was a breeze. i let the guys at master performance in missisagua do it last year. i called them the night before they took my car next day at 8am. the car was done by 2pm and they did a flawless job. they were pretty reasonable to charging only 110$
Fastest 1/4 = 14.3 @ 101.6, 2.3 60ft. bone stock.
It sounds good (although i'm not sure if the youtube video has a resonator on it or not), but a power loss, racing or not, isn't good news
x2 on the post above. Op, does this vid include the second resonator?
I'm looking for a straight pipe, and I have a vibrant resonator in the garage. All will be installed on my mazdaspeed accessory cbe. Jimmy advised that I have the second resonator installed to reduce the noise.
Is not here
Sounds sweet
the OEM mazdaspeed3 exhaust is actually very affordable in comparison with other catback exhausts, they sound amazing and of course they will fit perfectly since it is OEM
I just got one done today ! sounds sweeeeeett ! its pretty loud with the resonators on too.
hey Ben you got it installed already? glad you like it
bongamk (sam) thanks for the sell. Sounds nice and LOUD ! i understand why you sold it. HAHA ! its pretty loud for a stock mazdaspeed exhaust !!

Yea it sounds nice. Bug the MS3 guys to sell it to you when they buy aftermarket exhausts.

Has anyone put it on a 2.0l? I have a 09 Sport Gx, and wondering, from what I hear there is additional dronning on the 2.0....
Just for clarification, there is a difference between the stock MS3 exhaust and the mazdaspeed accessory exhaust for our cars? am I right on that?
Glad to hear it Ben...so is yours a stock MS3 with an extra resonator on it...and which portion are u cutting the section before or after the cat?
Sorry lots of questions....
Hm, your new cbe might calm down a bit after a week or so.
Heard the ECU learns about new parts installed, and adapts to it.
Or at least, thats what happen to me. When i first got my magnaflow,
it was really loud that the alarm of car parked next to me went off right away
i revved up. But now, it kinda settle down somehow and gives me this
good refined low rumble.
Reset your ECU.
