    Default Weird Feeling In Clutch

    Hey guys,

When my clutch is fully depressed and i turn my wheel without moving i can feel a very noticable taping feeling on my clutch. Anyone know what this could be? My car drives perfectly fine and theres no weird noises come from anything.

If you keep the engine at a higher RPM, say 1,500RPM, does the tapping still happen?

Check the revs if they drop significantly when you turn the wheel. When you're not moving, it takes a lot more umph for the power steering to turn your tires. My brothers old pickup didn't have power steering... you'd start sweating buckets trying to navigate a parking lot!

I don't think it has to do with his revs peeps; read the OP. I get the feeling the clutch is pushed to the floor.

I do feel tapping on the clutch pedal from some Mazda 3 and Mazda 6. It's more noticeable when RPM changes. My feeling is the clutch finger springs may deformed by heat, or the pilot bearing/release bearing is going south. Some release bearings from other make/models have dampening spring washer install to lessen the tapping, but on Mazda, they don't have it.
