    Default XBOX 360 Cooling

Hi guys/gals. just wanted to know if any of you have done somethig like this to your xbox 360.

    Cooling XBOX 360

What are your results and recommendations?

I just know that there has been problems before and would like to avoid them.

thinking of buying 100+ cfm fans and doing a set up like this, but a lot neater, cuz the wife would kill me and saw that mess in the living room.

I just recently upgraded my tv and stand to an enclosed stand with glass doors (to keep my daughter out) anyhow... the back of the cabinet is closed with the exception of a 2" I cut for cords and after playing Rainbow Six2 for about 2 hrs, it was really hot...

I gotta look at this or another way of keeping it cool. Just don't want it to be too noisy.
    Damn you photobucket.....

Not a bad idea, mine is sitting on top of the entertainment unit though. I've played for 8 hours before and it's still been reasonable cool. I really think thats the best solution, keep it in the open.

Does this have it's own power supply?

Plus i checked out Mfr web site and did not see this on their site. I would rather know that i am buying quality fans w/cfm & decibal ratings.

There are some reasonable quite fans out there. Probably no louder than you PC. I guess if it is inside a cabinet it would cut down on some noise as well. Ya think?

yup because the one that plugs into the 360 power supply is prone to shorting out the whole system. i have this one on my 360 and i have had no problems with it.

the link to the Intercooler TS was on the main page.

it has its own power supply and a temperature sensor. it goes on shortly after the xbox is turned on, and shuts off after the xbox has turned off and the air being drawn out has cooled to a certain temp.

this unit can be noisy but, if the xbox is in an enclosed entertainment centre, you can't even hear it.

i also have one (xbox is in an enclosed unit) and it's been great so far. you can google "intercooler ts" and read all the reviews on it.
