From my research, (although I have to admit I really love these cars), I would not buy a used one simply because there are some serious known issues with the N54. Oil consumption issues, and very expensive premature component failures to name some.

Anyways, I'm no expert on them either just researched them as a workmate had one for sale recently, which I ended up passing on.

@McGuyver_3 Would be the guy to talk to on this as I believe he still works at BMW and works on these things everyday.

@FD22 Good luck on your new purchase, she looks pretty nice.

Yup, definitely some known issues with the platform, like many others. Hence why I tried to make sure I got one with good maintenance history. Most of the common issues I hopefully won't have to deal with as the previous owner already had them taken care of. Then again, not like I emptied the bank account to purchase this car. Made sure I had enough money set aside (ie money I willingly wanna spend lol) for repairs if needed. Hope for the best, but expect the worst, right?

hope it treats you well! i just heard mazda is going to put the 2.5L turbo in the 6 so that is now a solid contender of the next rides, that the M2 ( been looking at for a while as well ) or maybe wrx, need something v6 or turbo or both

M2 is almost pointless when the M240i is basically just as good for a lot less.

Cool...we got a Silhouette Cameo 3 for my Mom for Christmas. Never used one but says it works well with fabric and she does a ton of quilting.

It's really easy. You just upload images, preferably transparent ones (checkered background) because they print right away - Or use the software which recognizes the contours on the image and you select the areas which you want to cut out.

Takes 2 minutes to set up and it prints quite quickly.

If anyone wants some gloss black decals I can make some up for the TM3 dinner.
