2010 or 2009 Mazda 3 Sedan

So,

My lease is coming to end...don't want to buy back

So now...2010 or 2009?

I know all dealership are trying to sell all of the 2009 as soon as possible...but is the 2010 worth the extra $$$?

I need to finance my car as well, and the interest rate so much better on the 09 then 10...

But is the 2010 that much better, I don't mind not spending my lunch money for the next 4 years for a better car

2010 has better features and more power if you go with the GT.
You'd be able to figure out of handling and feel is better on the test drive. I've heard it is, but have yet to drive one.
And you'll be getting an updated car instead of getting the same car again. Driving the same car for 5+ years could be boring.

You'll be paying a premium to get a 2010 this early. You won't get incentives and lower finance rates until late 2009/early 2010.
Edit: you can get a 1% loyalty discount on 2010 model.

2010 model is in its first year. Sure it has a lot more features that would/could sway you, but there could be a few problems with the car. However, if you're patient and don't mind going through the growing pains, go with the 2010.

2009 is pretty much refined for the older model and shouldn't have too many problems..

i'd say go for the 2010 despite the fact that u might encounter a few minor problems but 09 and the smae of the rest.. and the one u have now so why drive another one for a few more years when it's the same thing?

2010 has a lot more features too, but when i went to get my car, i also took a 2010 gs and gt out for a spin, 2.3 and 2.5.. i didn't notice a big difference.

yea...well the only problem I need the car by April that's when my lease is over... I guess I can manage without a car for 1-2 months...but its going to be hard...

I guess I should really take a test drive of both cars and see what is better...

Yeah, take a test drive, and see which car you like better. Never hurts to test it out first, after all it's a huge investment for you.

I doubt it. I would compare features of both cars and see if the price difference is worth it to you. Are you looking to modify your car? If so how much would you be putting into it? Would that in of itself be more than $4000?

However the 2009 is the dealers personal demo, so it isn't brand new - and I'm actually not sure on the mileage to be honest. So yeah, thats what I am comparing.

Ill be visiting him early next week to check them out.

I test drove the 2010 GT sedan with LP today. My initial feeling was the clutch was more stiff (i liked it). BUT the gas wasnt as responsive as my car (i have intake/exhaust). Like when i was test driving it i tried to rev match but when i stepped on the gas pedal, the rpm barely moved where if i were to put the same amount of pressure, my rpm would jump on my 06 mazda.

But then again its because this car is different and im just used to my car.

Overall, i like my car more than the 2010 performance wise but that is because i modded it. The 6 speed felt kinda weird too.
