Default Kanatech Mazda3 DIN Kit - Silver (Ton of pics)

Want to contribute something back to the forum and think someone may find it useful when selecting their kits. I recently got this from shokits.com for about 140usd shipped and was lucky and were not charged duties or any taxes when crossing the border. Upon arrival, i found out the opening is larger than your typical Metra or Japanparts kit. Kicking myself for not doing more research . Anyways, enough with the yabbering.

Full resolution pictures if you need to view the manual.

    royroy,

I thought it was as well, but it isn't. This member got the actual japanparts kit and it's definitely different.

Darn imageshack sucks, I can't download your pics. I'm on 6+ Mbps connection... I'm downloading your 75 MB rar instead. =)

Can't wait to see it with a deck in there. I'm so tempted to replace my stock deck, but I

    a) would hate to lose the steering wheel controls
    b) i havent seen any aftermarket decks that look good enough to replace the feel/flow of the stock deck yet

I'm in the same boat. Although, I must admit, seeing a double din unit in our cars looks fantastic. I'm just worried about the DIN kit i get not being perfect. It would have to be the exact silver, and perfectly flush.

For now, I am going to just use the stock 6CD MP3 changer and do upgrades to speakers, get an amp and sub until a better solution comes out.

The sound from the stock deck to an LOC, then to an amp and speakers and sub just doesn't cut it. Hence the reason why I'm going aftermarket. Currently have the Kenwood DDX812 in the mail to me. So f'ing excited
