Oakville Meet - Thursday May 21, 2009

It's going to be very warm finally this Thursday so why not have a meet.

Thursday May 21st from 7:30 - 10:00 pm.

Come see the 2010 Mazda3 now with lower profile rubber on the black 18's and possibly HID fog lights!

For first timers coming out, the location is listed below.

Location: Starbucks at Dundas/Trafalgar (inside strip plaza with Longos and BMO and TurtleJacks)

South-east corner of Trafalgar/Dundas.

Get off QEW at Trafalgar and go north
Get off 403 at Dundas and go west
Get off 401 at Trafalgar and go south

Park on the south side of the starbucks parking lot. There are about 16 spots and we usually try to occupy that space and keep all the cars together.

If someone's going to bring their Hyundai, I may bring my bike and Andrew can check out how well the rubber works....

hey wanted to know your experience with the clay - im doing it for the first time this weekend for the BBQ...

was it overally difficult? any words of advice for a first timer?

great meet tonight guys had a really good time! BTW what was decided for the pre meet?

You shouldn't have any troubles at all, my suggestion is to wash the car, rinse & then use the soap you had wash with as the liquid of choice for the clay bar, pick-up a wash mitt so that one hand has the clay bar & the other a soapy mitt. Keep in mine some area like the hood & roof will be the easy areas & the front & pass doors is where you will spend the most of your time. Hopes this helps.

Good to see Huy, Ken_York, B&T's 3 (Well more like B&T's HYUNDAI! Nice job on it though!), Angela and 1Flycdnm3, deedotpee, MyK (my cuz) and Jason (with his 6!).

I hope I didn't leave anyone out!

Oh and remember ANDREW was a no show!

As discussed, will anyone be using 2 way radios? If so, someone post a channel and a security code if necessary.

Hey I have read that there is some sort of brick lube? but what your saying is keep the water that i used to wash the car as the brick lube?

I use the quick detailer.

I bought the Maquire's one and it comes with the quick detailer spray.

Spray on, clay thru. That's what it tells you to do. It is just to lube it.

I wouldn't use the dirty water, clean water would be better.

You use up the Quick Detailer Spray too fast, there is no point, soapy water work the same way.
