Default First-time mazda owner 2005 Mazda 3 GT

Hi all, I've been posting around for a few weeks but thought I would formally say hello. Picked up a used Mazda 3 yesterday in Black Mica. I know black is a pain in the butt to maintain, but I love it.

    See you all around!

Haha please don't shun me because of lack of pics. My tints will be done tonight (at AH) and wash/wax tomorrow. Pics will be up by Saturday!

It's 5/35 (I'm hoping that means 35 up front and 5 in the rear)

It's not hard at all, but I haven't driven at night yet. Though I really don't care if it's hard to see, it looks saweeet.

Phil, I've read around that you'd be my guy for TM3 plates?

Here are my pics again from a different source, looks like twitpic doesn't like direct links.

    Looks great!

    Congratulations and welcome aboard.

I hate to be the one to ask...but is there any rust on your car? (problem areas are rear wheel wells, rear quarter panels, 3rd brake light on trunk, trim around doors...)

Car looks great, 5% in the rear is going to be hard to see out of at night.
You'll be sticking your head out the window if you have to reverse into a spot or something with no light. Not so much fun in winter.

I'm sure it will be an adjustment, but no pain no gain.

Knowing about the rust issues before buying this car, I thoroughly inspected it. It was pristine except for a tiny spec of rust starting to rust in the front driver side wheel wells. I will get this taken care of before it escalates. Rust proofing next week as well.

That's good to hear, for your sake I'm glad your car is not showing any signs of rust in the typical problem areas.

Thanks! Side-note, I used to love the habs way back when. Take a guess at where the 33 in my username comes from
