just installed the cp-e rear motor mount, wow, what a difference

i went with 75a durometer and the vibes dont bother me at all
the shifting has smoothed out noticeable, alot better than i had expected based on peoples comments
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.

got my cpe mount installed. big difference even on a regular 3, shifting is smoother and the vibrations aren't too bad. driving is smooth but when i start the engine it seems to knock pretty loudly, is this normal?

Installed my cpe mount on Saturaday, there was a pretty load knock untill i went under and gave all the bolts a good tighten. Now everything is beautiful!

So i know this is an old thread but im also curious about the rmm.

    A couple of quick questions,

Is it better to get the 1 piece or 2 piece?

    60 or 70?

Best place to get it locally for a good price?

I dont want there to be too much vibration. Im looking to use it for every day driver as well as occasional track day. Thanks.

One piece cp-e mount in 60 duro from garage16 ... best bet. You could do the 75, but really I think the 60 was a better choice for me, less vibes and still a great improvement.

I got the SU RMM about a year ago. It wore out, urethane flopping around like Jello, took it out, stock put back in. I'm waiting for Jamie Barone to have all 3 mounts ready and I will do the 2 side ones at the same time as the rear.

Definitely! I am going to install it this weekend. I got the delrin race bushing (90duro) so I think the vibrations will be quite noticeable but I want everything to be nice and tight.

Ok... so I put the rmm in today and the vibrations are insane. The car shakes like a mofo.

I would recommend the street bushing knowing what I know now but on the flip side the shifting is smooth as butter now and the motor is stiff as shit.

that'll happen because the other mounts (passenger and transmission) are now absorbing more engine movement. Given the age of your car, if you haven't changed the passenger side mount, it most likely needs changing.

Which make? I would be willing to swap as this race bushing is too much and my gf wants to kill me.
