    Question Rear seat cover replacement/install

Long story short, I have to replace my rear seat cover.

I took out the seat and saw that there are numerous metal retaining rings all along the edge to secure the cover to the actual seat, and it seems to be out of my league of DIY persistaence...

Does any one have any suggestion as to how to repalce the cover?

Any suggestion for an installer? My budget is tight for this, but if it's reasonable I rather havbe it done right.

    Thanks guys.

I know Dan/McGuyver has changed the seat covers on both his old ride, as well as Pimpin_29Y's car. You could also contact the member that is doing the GB for the arm rest covers, there is a shop doing the installs.

This sounds like an interesting story........

    .............................

    No?

Okay, well someone was telling me that the cover just unzips? Apparently there's a zipper there somewhere? Maybe hit up a junk yard? I don't think you'd find it any cheaper than that? I'm assuming just the cloth is damaged?

the rear SEAT portion is the part where you butt goes and yeah, it's damaged...the bottom part is not zippered. I'll give the wreckers a call to see if they have a complete one, perhaps...

Good luck @ the wreckers, you kinky SOB.

I'd check out Wreckers (Standard), and eBay... And if you don't find it on Ebay, try to find a seller that's selling stuff from a parted out 3 and ask them if they have access to the seat... Good luck!

Is the rear seat on the Speed3 the same as the regular 3 Hatch? If so, I found a number of listings on car-part.com .

I believe it's the same, unless he's after an 08.5+ model? (black and red sitching)... Did the 07-08's use a diff color from the regular 3's?

Do you think you can source an extra set? Currently, I have the MS3 front seats and I'm looking to finish off the look by getting the rears.
