Yah, they take a bit of force to fold them too. It 'locks' folded out so they don't fold in from the slightest knock.
on my 04 GT they fold in and they fold out. i found this out when i went through a car wash and my mirror was bent back the wrong way, thought it was broken but when i got out and checked it i realized they both can bend back.
They definitely do fold on my 2010 GX (base) hatch.
