Can I get a new wheel lock key from a dealer? How much would that be? I went to get my winters on this Sunday only to find out that the key wasn't in the trunk. I got my tires changed this summer and I guess the key was left there or something . Bottom line is.... I don't have it . I need to get that this week because saturday I'm getting my fronk brakes changed as well. Any suggestions? can the key from another Mazda 3 work? Please help!
Yes I did... in 2007. But I got new summer tires this June and they didn't ask for it so I'm guessing they went through and found it. But when the guys at Tires23 looked for it, it wasn't there, I went home and went through the whole car and nothing! I'm guessing it was left at the shop in the summer. I'm gonna give the guys a call but I think it's a long shot.
Well, 50% are for the free replacement and 50% counter... i had my ones replaced for free...
Yeah, I figured as much. I wonder if I can just pick one up from a dealer or if it has to be ordered and how much more time that'll take. I need to get those brakes changed soon :-P. And would love to get my winter tires on before a snowfall too bc I'm gonna have an interesting time driving with my summers in snow
If i was you and had this problem, i you have one or 2 bolts to change, then go to the dealer and tell them that you need 2 bolts to be replaced cause the oem ones are broken. They should check in the garage and give you those 1 or 2 bolts for free and right away
I think they have in stock many of them...
i think the keys are even cheaper just go to a dealer get them to tell you which number key it is and the dealer can order you one through mcguard

Well, I went to Oakville Mazda and got the old ones off and got new ones. This time I made sure the key was in the glove compartment lol. Andrew and Tiffany were very helpful there, I can now change my brakes and put on the winter tires.
Thanks guys!
PS: I never saw my original key, I think the dealer forgot to include it or something. Oh well!
check in the trunk by the tools as per owners manual of the locks you are supposed to zip tie the bag with the key in it to one of the tools
